About Me

Before coming to Stanford, I spent nearly ten years in industry working on computer security issues. My work primarily consisted of network penetration studies and development of intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS). I have worked at three successful startups, including one that I co-founded. Lately, most of my research work has been centered around Ethane, a security architecture for enterprise networks. The OpenFlow, Open vSwitch, and NOX projects are rooted in some of the research from Ethane. If you are interested in more details, you can read my resume.
